The bug there should be fixed this that version

lightdm (1.2.3-0ubuntu2.3) precise; urgency=low

  * debian/guest-account: disable screen locking in a more reliable way.
Rather than trying to write a key for another user, while setting up the
guest user account, just set up an autostart desktop that will set it
    during the login (lp: #951000)

  Binary package hint: gdm-guest-session

  gdm-guest-session 0.23, gdm 2.32.0-0ubuntu12, Ubuntu Natty

  1. Switch to a guest session.
  2. Type Ctrl+Alt+F6 to switch to a console.
  3. Type Alt+F8 to return to GDM.
  4. Choose the guest session.

What happens: The login screen asks you for a password for the guest

What should happen: The login screen should not ask you for a
  password.
