No way to install pdfcrop only

Bug description:
I tried installing pdfcrop on Ubuntu 12.04
According to the developer's site, the program should be less than 20
kb
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcrop/files/pdfcrop/
But on Ubuntu I need to install nearly 100 MB of dependencies!
I really don't think they are all necessary just for pdfcrop. So I suggest
pdfcrop should not be a part of texlive-extra but an independent package with
its own dependencies.
