You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hello folks,
Pursuant to https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/818864, Ubuntu should provide a package which provides the xsession.desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions, so that it shows up in the menu. This probably can be done by making some mini-packages which install files from /usr/share/doc/lightdm/examples to /usr/share/xsessions. This would be helpful for administration, since it means all an administrator has to do to enable Xsession login is install a package, rather than make a configuration change (and one outside of /etc to boot). Cheers, Edward P.S. Of course, it would be better if this was just installed by default.... ** Affects: lightdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Provide package which ships xsession.desktop et al https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1254552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
