Robert, seems that problem is in focus_upon_map function. Could not be that focus is moved to wrong window? When this bug happens it is not possible to select users using arrow keys too. This makes me think that focus is on wrong window.
Also is that function realy needed? After I removed start_fake_wm function I was not able to get this bug anymore. Tried many times to restart, login than shutdown and start again. Tried with enabled on screen keyboard too... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-greeter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1278681 Title: Cannot type password until I have clicked something else Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: If I try to type my password to log in, nothing happens, but when I select the volume settings at the top of the screen, or something like that, then I am able to enter my password.
