Status in “usb-modeswitch-data” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
The version in saucy is 2 years old (20120815-2)
since then 7 new versions have been published upstream, adding a whole lot of
new devices and bugfixes (especially from huawei)
That might help to cut down quite a few of the other reported bugs on this
package.
