Hello Serge,

Please cancel this bug report. I am currently using the version 1.4.1-12
from the Ubuntu automatic updates and the problem seems to have been
resolved (somewhere...). I think the main problem is that the Broadcom
driver is not the best.

Thanks for the help!

John

Title:
Running on battery power disables WiFi

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
On a new laptop (Lenovo N581) and the latest Ubuntu 64-bit the WiFi
connection stops working when the power supply is disconnected and the
machine is running on its battery. The connection is still active, but
no TCP packet is exchanged with the WiFi network.

Downgrading pm-utils to 1.3.0-1 solves the problem. If I allow the
automatic update to the current version 1.4.1-9 the problem returns.
