Title:
suspend resume after 20 sec cant freeze 1 task

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pm-utils

  Motherboard Asustek P5KPL-VM

Since upgrade 10.10 Maverick, not pm-... command works anymore. After
20 seconds of switching to framebuffer mode, gnome resume.

  pm-suspend
  pm-hibernate
  pm-suspend-hybrid

none of these commands work on my system since the upgrade to
Maverick. Suspend was working great thru all previous release til
  Maverick on this system.
