You have been subscribed to a public bug: Dell 20" 2001FP LCD monitor works very nicely as my only screen with the launcher until screen dims (I have 5m setting). After it dims, I lose the launcher and instead get just an Orange (looks like secondary screen) with the upper right controls. It stays this way until I click on Sytem Settings... and the it comes back to life.
