Title: Keybord gets sluggish after a while (after upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04) Status in xserver-xorg-input-evdev: Unknown Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in “xserver-xorg-input-evdev” package in Debian: Confirmed Bug description: Hardware: Lenovo X200 laptop OS: Ubuntu 12.04 Bug occured after upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 Bug: Originally reported a few weeks ago here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11869633 Short recap: At a random time after login (never less than half an hour so far), approximately once every other day (after upgrading 6 weeks ago), the keyboard stops responding as usual. It seems that the initial keypress is disregarded, but key registers after the repeat-interval and then repeats as usual - i.e. I press a key and wait and the key registers and repeats just as it would before the bug appears except the first keypress is not registered. I cannot trigger this bug "at will", and I see no traces of errors in any error log. --- ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu7 Architecture: amd64 DistUpgraded: 2012-04-12 13:02:14,469 DEBUG enabling apt cron job DistroCodename: precise DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 DistroVariant: ubuntu MachineType: LENOVO 7455D7G Package: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.7.0-0ubuntu1 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh ProcKernelCmdLine: root=UUID=7d09fa0a-8d28-4a02-8acb-abc193a646e3 ro quiet splash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-24.38-generic 3.2.16 Tags: precise ubuntu Uname: Linux 3.2.0-24-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-04-12 (27 days ago) UserGroups: adm admin audio cdrom frost fuse lpadmin netdev plugdev sambashare video dmi.bios.date: 11/10/2009 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: 6DET61WW (3.11 ) dmi.board.name: 7455D7G dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: Not Available dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr6DET61WW(3.11):bd11/10/2009:svnLENOVO:pn7455D7G:pvrThinkPadX200:rvnLENOVO:rn7455D7G:rvrNotAvailable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.name: 7455D7G dmi.product.version: ThinkPad X200 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.7.8-0ubuntu1 version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu35 version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.32-1ubuntu1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 8.0.2-0ubuntu3 version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 8.0.2-0ubuntu3 version.xserver-xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.1 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.7.0-0ubuntu1 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.99~git20111219.aacbd629-0ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.19.0-0ubuntu1~xup1 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20111201+b5534a1-1build2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evdev/+bug/996801/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
