Bug description:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Jaunty introduces a new central notification scheme via libnotify that
already displays information like joined wireless networks or status
changes from Pidgin. As Thunderbird is able to display notifications
on incoming mail it would increase user experience to integrate those
Thunderbird notifications in the new scheme.
Currently you can do this manually by installing the Thunderbird add-
on "Mail Alert", the package "libnotify-bin" and add something like
/usr/bin/notify-send -i /usr/share/pixmaps/mozilla-thunderbird.xpm
%sendername %subject
to the Mail Alert configuration.
