Title:
cannot type in search or page boxes in evince

Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
In Ubuntu 13.10, if I open a PDF file from the command line (e.g. by
typing `evince FNM.pdf`), I cannot type a page number in the box at
the top of the window. If I initiate a search by typing `/`, I cannot
type into the search box. I can paste into the box with a middle-
  click.

If I open the same PDF using Nautilus, it works as it should, i.e. I
can type text in the two boxes (typing a page number and pressing
enter takes me to that page, typing a word in the search box searches
for that word in the document).

  This is not
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1247621, because
my home directory is located in `/home`, as expected by AppArmour.
This problem did not exist prior to 13.10. I have reproduced on two
computers, one of which has a clean install of 13.10.
