sudo apport-collect 1299004
and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Bug description:
The menu's starting from File to Text have menu entries corrupted or
missing. However, the menu entries of Filters, Textures and Help are
as it is.

Inkscape Version: 0.48.4-3ubuntu2
Ubuntu Version : 14.04 Fully Updated to date.
