I'm also seeing very high CPU useage with Chromium. I'm not using Vimium
and I've already gone through and disabled a number of extensions but
there are a couple that I use constantly and need to have around. But
CPU useage is running between 20% - 50% for each window / tab

Since last update of chromium-browser on Lubuntu 13.10 the CPU usage
is very high with any open page:

  (31.0.1650.63-0ubuntu0.13.10.1~20131204.1)

  Task Manager (lxde)

  Command User CPU% RSS VM-Size

It just goes higher and higher if you open any more pages, until the
  system does not respond anymore.

My machine in I3 core 64 bit, so it is not about being slow - the
previous version of chromium runs ok even on my eee pc.

If it helps latest swiron build same version has same problem - I
  tested it on same machine.
