I start with a DVI connected Dell U2413 runing at 1920x1200 after
installing all the latest recommended updates I am only offered
1024x786. A full system restore (tar -x) of system from just prior to
the update restores full functionality.
As shown in the screenshot, I'm selecting all updates not knowing really
if I should or not.
This is a 100% Dell system, obviously they should have provided you one
for testing updates.
Tell them your (and their) customers are demanding it.
