After adding cgmanager, qt4-default, and qdbus-qt5, all is back to
normal with wifi. I am also once again able to mount my phone with
Dolphin, and my soundcard is again correctly detected.

  after today's Trusty updates/restart, NM will not connect to wifi

  I see all the wireless signals in the neighborhood, but the connect
  button does not connect my laptop to the internet. Also, history seems
  lost, as it reports that my wifi has never been used, when it was in
  use a few minutes before.
