This problem still exists: The password does not need to be re-entered after a standard user switch, but it has to be re-entered (sometimes even up to 3 times!) if the laptop went to sleep mode while a different user was logged in.

The problem can be solved by uninstalling gnome-screensaver - however, this breaks locking the screen by using "Strg+Alt+L" or by clicking "Lock screen" in the Unity menu. Maybe gnome-screensaver should be replaced by light-locker? After installing light-locker (with no gnome-screensaver installed) locking works fine from the command line, but does not work in Unity.
