Title:
After latest upgrades, Akonadi's MySQL CPU usage is extremely high

Status in “akonadi” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hi,

I've upgraded to Ubuntu Trusty last week, and since the update to KDE
4.12.95 my CPU usage is extremely high. The culprit is akonadi's MySQL
process, which eats a lot of my CPU.

  My system :
  AMD Phenom 9850 x4
  8 GB RAM
  Kubuntu 14.04 AMD64

Note that I've got 12000 emails in my box, and that I did not notice
it with KDE 4.12.90, nor with Kubuntu Saucy.

  Rgds,
