Title:
Unity-greeters volume slider setting should be independent of Ubuntu's
  volume slider

Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
When I disable the drumming sound of unity-greeter via volume control
slider and increase the volume slider during Ubuntu's session, the
slider is also increased for unity-greeter, with the result that the
sound of unity-greeter is also not muted.
