may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test

Title:
Problem passing from Music to Playlist and vice-versa

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 12.04

  - Launch a song from Music or Playlist
  - If you were on Playlist, go in the Music section, else go in a Playlist.
=> Once the song is completed, the following song will be taken from the
previous section and not the current.

Workarround : Quit RhythmBox and reopen it to start the song in the
  desired section.

I have no problem when passing from All artists to one artist or one
  album.
