Title:
rhythmbox shuffle and repeat buttons should be mode dependent
Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
Incomplete
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When rhythmbox is launched, I can choose Music, Podcast, Radio and
other choices as my mode of play. I set the default settings for
shuffle and repeat to ON while I was listening to my music collection.
When I selected radio mode and hit play, it chose a randomly selected
radio station instead of the one I strategically named to be first (my
favorite) on the list. I would like to have the shuffle and repeat
settings set as OFF by default when I go into radio mode, but ON when
I use music mode. Can we modify the buttons so they retain the
settings for each mode instead of globally? Alternatively, I would
like to tell rhythmbox which radio station to use as default (of
course it would be my favorite) without having to rename the radio
station title so that it appears first on the list. I would also like
to set which mode I want as default when I launch rhythmbox (right now
it always goes to Music, but I prefer Radio) and then have it
automatically start playing upon launching with no further
interaction. By the way, before play is hit after launching or a mode
change, the currently selected station or song is not highlighted. It
should be highlighted so that we know what hitting play will do even
when we don't explicitly select a song or station.
