Using firefox-trunk from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla- daily/+archive/ppa/ and it now appears to be built with gstreamer1.0 support.
https://www.youtube.com/html5 shows it as supporting H.264 My understanding is that with this, everything is in place for when FF 30+ is stable. Mozilla did not add gstreamer1.0 support to FF 28, just to FF 30. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051559 Title: Build Firefox with GStreamer 1.0 support Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Fix Released Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “iceweasel” package in Debian: Fix Released Status in “firefox” package in Fedora: Unknown Bug description: Building Firefox with GStreamer support would provide support for a lot of websites that use h264.
