As this bug hasn't updated by OP in nearly 4 years, I am marking as
Invalid, due to the version of Rhythmbox being upgraded in the currently
supported releases. If this issue persists in a currently supported
release, please file a new bug report stating the version of Mint
affected, and the version of Rhythmbox installed.

Rhythmbox start not playing after end of playlist

Bug description:
When Rhythmbox reaches the end of the playlist it stops playing as
wanted. But when you double-click on the first (or whatever) item, it
does not start playing, though the symbol shows playing. Just by
stopping and start playing again you actually hear music. This happens
to me all the time.
