FN-F8 doesn't switch displays on M1330
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
While booted up to X, pressing FN-F8 does not appear to properly switch
displays.
Using the command line xrandr utility does however work properly.
Additionally, switching to a VT and then stopping gdm, it still
doesn't work. It does work as the boot process begins (before X
starts)
Nothing is registered at the end /var/log/acpid
