Title:
[regression] indicator keyboard does not show up in panel

Status in “indicator-keyboard” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Since 14.04 the indicator does not show up in my panel anymore, making
it very annoying to switch keyboard layouts. Even if the appropriate
box is ticked in system settings, it is not there.

I can only change the layout using a hotkey combo now.

I did not have this issue in 13.10.
