I will like to add that this doesn't seem to be only for Korean language
as I am having the exact problem with Burmese language. Ibus won't input
the characters after upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04.  Using Character Map
works fine.

Bug description:
  when i type korean, hangul key does'nt work!! so  i can not type
  korean with ibus.
