Uh. 7 years have passed and this bug is still showing up. GNOME developers 
should clean up their GVFS code base because it's a wreck.

  I was accessing a remote SFTP folder. It was taking a long time to
  browse, but it was working quite well until Nautilus finally crashed.

  After the crash, I was able to access the SFTP folder again.
