I'm not sure if xserver-xorg-video-intel is the correct package (could be more of a kernel/modesetting issue), but it's a lot closer than alsa- driver...
** Package changed: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313071 Title: No hdmi video output in 13.10 Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have a Lenovo thinkpad t440s I run Ubuntu 13.10 on it and routinely connect it to my LG plasma TV using hdmi. Up to this morning it has always worked well. This morning when I connect the HDMI, Ubuntu shows me two connected monitors in the display setting, but the TV receives no signal. I have recently upgrade my kernel to 3.11.0.20-generic. Could his be the source of the problem ?
