Title:
Panel menu-bar applet crashes after adding indicator-applet-appmenu
Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “gnome-panel” source package in Trusty:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
Gnome-Panel menu-bar applet disappears when I add indicator-applet-
appmenu (global-menu) to panel. However other indicators & applets are
not affected.
It could be related Bug #1222339, where global-menu was causing each &
every other applet to crash including global-menu itself. This bug was
fixed in 3.8.0-1ubuntu6.
[Test Case]
1. install gnome-session-flashback.
2. login in session.
3. add indicator-applet-appmenu to gnome-panel. at this point menu-bar will
dissapear.
4. remove indicator-applet-appmenu from panel to get menu-bar back.
[Regression Potential]
I think there is no regression potential. Same fix is used for external
applets built with libpanel-applet library.
