Screen has sections overlap after standby.

Bug description:
I am using Ubuntu 10.04.
Standby has worked on this laptop in 9.10, however on 10.04 it will
standby fine, but when I open it up parts of the screen overlap them-
selfs, like they are cut off. This happens when I switch to tty and it
still shows as it is shutting down. The only option I have is to not
close my laptop.
