vblank - vsync doesn't work for video playback (vlc - flash -html5)

Bug description:
nvidia-settings vblank is checked but the v-sync does not work for
video playback with vlc or web playback on flash player or html5
playback.
Globs benchmark or glxgears give me 60FPS meaning that v-sync on GL
apps is working. It had to work for video playback too..
