[SeatDefaults] autologin-guest=false autologin-user=hob autologin-user-timeout=3
This completely fubar'd my install. Good job it was Unicorn ;) Not able to screenshot it - I'll install in a vm to test in Tahr - I do have vague memories of trying this at some point during the last cycle - with the same result. In 14.04 - adding that file - does nothing - machine boots to login screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lightdm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307102 Title: Unable to set autologin Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: In 14.04 Xubuntu I am unable to set autologin The /usr/lib/lightdm/lightdm-set-defaults --autologin command is now gone it seems ( https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/1.9.4-0ubuntu1 ) I've tried editing the various .conf files with no success.
