Bug description:
Simple-scan does not scan on a Canon FB630U in 14.04
It does not initialize the scanner.
$ scanimage -L
device `canon630u:libusb:003:016' is a CANON Canoscan FB630U flatbed scanner
$simple-scan
-> the GUI gets loaded. Pressing the scan button causes no reaction
In 13.10, the scanner initialized and started a scan within less than
2 seconds.
