@romano-giannetti I see now that you indicate you are not using lightdm. Can you confirm your login manager? If so we may have a different problem, but everything else seems identical.

I checked the dconf variables as per https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Mount/USB but it's all correctly set. I can mount the disk by hand: % sudo mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt % mount | grep mnt /dev/sdc1 on /mnt type vfat (rw) ...and it works ok.
