Has affected me for some time.  No ideas yet forthcoming.  
This is LibreOffice Version: 4.2.3.3 Build ID: 420m0(Build:3) on Ubuntu 14.04 
updated to 4th June 2014.

  Missing pictures in help

Bug description:
  Open Libreoffice Writer and press F1 (or click on Libreoffice Help).
  Then a new window will open and the help will be shown, but no
  pictures are displayed in the help (see attached screenshot).
