No action streaming music in firefox with rhythmbox and mplayer

Bug description:
Platform ubuntu-12.0.4-beta2.
No application shows up in firefox when I select to open music (mp3)
streaming with the mplayer option.
When using default rhythmbox the application shows up, but it is not playing.
