Title:
After suspend to ram and resume choppy video playback

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pm-utils

Video playing works greatly untill the laptop first time suspends to RAM.
After resume everything seems ok, but playing video is slow, choppy, unusable.
It concerns all kinds of high resolution videos, for example either with flash
pluggins in FF or mplayer x264 1280x720. It does on multiple player softwares
like totem, smplayer etc.
Also it is not compiz related, the same behaviour observed without effect on
metacity.

I suspect a script for suspend to do something incorrect with video
  system.

  Release: 11.04
   2.6.38-8-generic-pae #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 05:17:09 UTC 2011 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
  pm-utils: 1.4.1-7

  logs from mplayer,lshw,pm-suspend.log included
