Title: Gimp does not open pdf Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Trying to open a pdf file gives the message (after selecting 'all files'): '/home/paulo/test.pdf' failed: Unknown file type It is possible though to export an image as pdf. This problem started in Ubuntu 13.10 (can't remember any specific change or update in other packages other than the regular updates from Ubuntu repositories) and persisted after a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 and Gimp.
