In 14.04 nothing happens in this case and there is no indicator of the - top menu. + top menu. This means, you cannot come back to normal screen mode. I tested it with a Netbook Samsung NC 10 plus and a Desktop with Asrock 960GM/U3S3 (integrated AMD Radeon 3000 graphics).
