Title: Laptop lid standby issue on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS Status in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello, this is the first issue/bug I report to the developers team, I hope I'm reporting it the right way. I've been trying to find an answer to the issue described here ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2232672 ) but nothing similar was found by google or in the forum. Any help or suggestion is welcome Best regards Accurate description of the issue (from the linked topic): """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Kubuntu 14.04 on laptop goes into standby again when lid reopened I have this problem with my ASUS K54HR Laptop: when I close the lid it goes into standby mode but when I open the lid again it power up for a second (the screen lights up for exactly 1-2 secs) and then falls back into standby. I have 2 partitions, root and home, so I decided to reinstall the system keeping all home files. If run the original kubuntu 14.04 image from a usb stick there's no problem with standby. Also if I login as a different user everything works fine. I think it could be related to some user configuration or some file in my home folder. I found out someone with the same problem on Xubuntu but it wasn't helpful. Did anybody else found the same issue?
