Title: "Find" and "Replace" functions should merge Status in Light-Weight Text Editor for Gnome: Won't Fix Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Binary package hint: gedit It would be better to merge the "Find" and "Replace" functions. The "Replace" dialog already contains the find function, and "Find" is redundant. When press Ctrl+F, the "Find & Replace" dialog should appear. This is more consistent with other text editors (e.g. openoffice word, spreadsheet, MS office word). Just a suggestion. Gedit is a great editor. Thanks to developers!
