Bug description:
  checkbox-gui crashed with following console outputs:

  pure virtual method called
  terminate called without an active exception
  Aborted (core dumped)

  Steps to reproduce:

  1. open checkbox-gui

  2. connected external display

  3. switch video output mode, usually by using the common video output
  switch hotkey.

  Expected result:

  checkbox-gui still running when switching back to extended desktop
  video out mode.

  Actual result:

  checkbox-gui crashed
