the directory and files there are from the admin user, it's not a bug
that can be sorted from an user tool, not a gnome-default-applications-
properties bug, not that gnome-default-applications-properties is
deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric as well
** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)

Title:
gnome-default-applications-properties: permission denied on changing
default applications
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
If i try to change the default browser for example, starting
gnome-default-applications-properties from console, it gives me this error:
"(gnome-default-applications-properties:2898):
default-applications-properties-WARNING **: Errore nell'impostare il browser
predefinito: Creazione del file
"/home/fain182/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list.G2RVZV" non riuscita:
Permesso negato"
That translated to english sounds like:
"(gnome-default-applications-properties:2898):
default-applications-properties-WARNING **: Error in setting the default
browser: Creation of file
"/home/fain182/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list.G2RVZV" failed:
Permission denied"
The GUI doesn't give no error, but if I close and open again I find
that options aren't changed.
