Public bug reported:

My headphones won't work in windows 7 (weird I know) unless I shut down
ubuntu 14.04 linux with "sudo halt -fp" command. Had the same problem
with Ubuntu 12.04. So the only way to get them working is to boot back
to linux type "sudo halt -fp" command and then login back to windows
again. Another strange thing is when I unplug headphones (in win7) I
get sound back on internal laptop speakers. So sound just dosen't work
when headphones are pluged in.

My laptop model is Asus G74sx with the latest (V. 203) bios.
