I can change icons of users with and without encrypted home, and see
them in the user menu indicator. However, unity-greeter doesn't show any
pictures at all (independent of encryption status). This should become a
separate report, though.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ecryptfs-utils

  DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
  DISTRIB_RELEASE=9.10
  DISTRIB_CODENAME=karmic
  DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu karmic (development branch)"

  Kernel (update)  2.6.31-10-generic, i386 - same using amd64.
  Gnome desktop (gdm)

  By using an encrypted home directory (ecryptfs-utils), the users
  pictures ('~/.face' respectively '/usr/share/pixmaps/faces/**') are
  not shown at login-screen, as it is default without encryption.

  This seems to be a general bug of 'ecryptfs-utils'.
