I confirm this very annoying bug in Ubuntu 14.04. Nautilus (Files) became unusable. Copy and paste stop working (no matter how you want to access them, e.g. shortcuts, menu) after an undetermined period of time since starting the application. I am using Ctrl+T to split the window but I can not confirm it is related to it or not. Nautilus (Files) is the most used application in Ubuntu and copy/paste files is the most common action. We badly need this solved.
