Title:
gnome-menus: desktop entries duplicated in "Other" menu
Status in “gnome-menus” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “gnome-menus” package in Debian:
Fix Released
Bug description:
gnome-menus 3.8.0 contains a bug that causes menu entries to appear in
the Other category, in addition to the expected category. This is
fixed upstream in 3.8.1 (b89833d: "layout: don't use OnlyUnallocated
for sections different than Other").
Running the attached script on a system with python-gi, gnome-menus,
and gir1.2-gmenu-3.0 installed shows the spurious Other menu in saucy
and trusty; merging gnome-menus 3.8.1 makes it go away.
