After updates Nvidia proprietary driver fails.
Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
After applying todays updates the proprietary driver failed to load. I
reinstalled the nouveau driver and it worked fine. I reinstalled the
Nvidia driver and the system black screened. I rebooted and the
nouveau driver reinstalled. Had to remove the proprietary driver.
