I tried to reproduce this in LibreOffice 4.2.4, and it appears to be fixed now.
1) open Original.doc supplied in the bug report 2) save as saved.doc 3) close document 4) reopen saved.doc (still in LO) 5) second page header is present (unlike "new.doc" supplied in the bug report) So let's mark this as resolved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201375 Title: [upstream] .doc header converted to .odt then .doc is removed Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite: Invalid Status in The OpenOffice.org Suite: Confirmed Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “openoffice.org” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: 1) lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer libreoffice-writer: Installed: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 Candidate: 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 Version table: *** 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu5 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice via the Terminal: cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/201375/+attachment/228294/+files/documents.tgz && file-roller -h documents.tgz && cd documents && unoconv --listener && unoconv -f odt Original.doc && cp Original.odt example.odt && unoconv -f doc example.odt && lowriter -nologo example.doc Original.doc is the example.doc and Original.doc look the same. 4) What happens instead is the header on page 2 is missing.
