Hi, I have the same issue with Ubuntu 14.10. Something went wrong and I lost my Unity launcher and panel. I tried to restore them using 'dconf reset -f /org/compiz/' (read that somewhere) but that did not help. It turned out my Unity plugin was simply set to inactive so activating it via CCSM brought Unity back on my desktop.
But now I have the same problem (the scale plugin is also affected since it will also not switch the active viewport) and I can not restore the correct behaviour. The launcher is my main viewport switcher but now I have to switch viewport manually which is a real pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228352 Title: [regression] Alt-Tab for all viewports will not switch viewports when selecting a window on another viewport Status in Compiz: Fix Committed Status in Compiz 0.9.10 series: Fix Committed Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: When enabling Alt-Tab for all viewports (instead of only Alt-Tabbing on the current one), if you select a window that is currently on a different viewport, that viewport will not be automatically switched to.
