Now oneiric is full and stable, but the bug exists on. Can be workarounded with a different login with new profile or guest.

It jumps while simply using the computer to full power in battery mode. The thinkpad buttons only move the thinkpad osd slider, but the backlight stays full power. If the pointer is moved or a key pressed, the backlight jumps back to normal and switchable state. I did not found an option in the new gnome power manager to handle the brightness. Seems that the machine idle turns the backlight on full power, need sunglasses now.
